The Club
Kansas Networks Volleyball Club (KNVBC) is a Topeka based umbrella club for a group of independent volleyball
teams playing in the Heart of America (HOA) region of USA Volleyball.
What the Club Does
The club holds an annual coaches/team managers meeting to help guide
teams through the team management process. We hold a referee and
score-keeping clinic as is required by all USA volleyball officials. We
assist in organizing a local IMPACT clinic for new coaches to get IMPACT
certified. We register all KNVBC USAV members and teams. We handle the
entry process for teams participating in national level tournaments. We
will have an instructional coaches clinic and our newest addition, this
website. All this for a minimal fee.
What Our Teams Do
Form teams (the club does not form teams or hold club tryouts), Provide
coaches, assistant coaches and team managers (sometimes all in one),
Find and select players, acquire gym space for practices, pick and
acquire team uniforms, pick a team name, decide on their level of play,
Decide on how many and what tournaments to enter, register for
tournaments and set team fees along with a slew of team organization
issues too numerous to mention. Our main goal is to keep the process as
simple, accessable and as affordable as possible so that more kids get
to enjoy the great, fun game of volleyball.
Most of the team duties
and decisions are up to the individual teams. This results in a lot of
variety of team goals and personality. The strength of the club is our
ability to network to help each other reach our individual goals. We
hope that this format will result in more opportunities for kids to play
and enjoy youth volleyball at every level.
KNVBC does not form teams, conduct club tryouts or open gyms. Invidual teams may hold tryouts / open gyms and KNVBC will advertise those tryouts on this website.
